Papio Levee Repairs - 2019 Flood

The 2019 Spring floods caused substantial damage to both the federal and non-federal flood mitigation projects on the Big and West Papio Creek systems in the Omaha area. This presentation will provide an overview of the types of damage that occurred, the evaluation and design process completed on a compressed schedule, and ultimately the construction of project repairs. The presentation will highlight the flexibility of team members (USACE, local sponsor (P-MRNRD), stakeholders, and the contractor) and its importance in completing successful project.
