Elkhorn River 240th Street Bank Stabilization

The Elkhorn River 240th Street Bank Stabilization Project has been a multi-phase project that was completed in March 2016. It started with a study to determine the best approach to protect 240th Street from the ever-migrating river. An interim stabilization project was implemented quickly after flood damage in 2010 to provide protection while a long-term project of creating a pilot channel to direct flow away from 240th Street was designed, permitted and constructed.
