Scholarship information

The Engineers Club offers two unique engineering scholarships  one for high school students and one for engineering professionals. See details for eligibility and how to apply below. 

High School Scholarship

Eligibility

1. Applicant must be a graduating high school senior from one of the following Omaha area counties:

- Douglas, Cass, Dodge, Sarpy, Saunders, or Washington, Nebraska

- Pottawattamie or Mills, Iowa

2. Planned course of study must be in an Engineering or Engineering related field.

3Applicant will attend a Nebraska college or university.

Amount

Scholarships are awarded at $1,000 minimum. Verification of enrollment and designated major must be provided prior to the actual award of the scholarship. Special consideration will be given to children of members. 

Application Submittal
The application must be completed, certified by the school counselor or principal, and returned by March 1st of each year. See application for more information. 

Professional Scholarship

Eligibility

1. Individual seeking professional development or career advancement in engineering field or a related discipline.

2. Applicant lives or works in one of the following Omaha area counties:

- Douglas, Cass, Dodge, Sarpy, Saunders, or Washington, Nebraska

- Pottawattamie or Mills, Iowa

3. Special consideration given to needs associated with professional certifications (i.e. PE license).

Amount

Scholarships are awarded for reimbursement of relevant expenses, with a maximum award of $500.

Application Submittal

Applications will be reviewed on a first come, first serve basis. Application reviews will be ongoing throughout the year, based on funds availability and will be considered at the next monthly Engineers Club Board meeting.
