The presentation will include an update on the current status of the CSO Program, and a look into the future challenges that the City faces to meet the requirements of the Clean Water Act in a manner that is affordable for our ratepayers.
Jim Theiler is the Assistant Director for Environmental of the City of Omaha Public Works Department. He is responsible for the overall management of the City's Environmental programs withing the Public Works Department, including Water Resources and Storm Water Management, Solid Waste, Air Quality, Flood Control, and Wastewater Collection and Treatment. Prior to this, he served as the City's CSO Program Coordinator, and has been involved with the City's CSO Program since its inception. Mr. Theiler is a Licensed Professional Engineer in Nebraska with a B.S. in Civil Engineering from the University of Nebraska at Omaha, and has over 20 years of experience as an Engineer, forcusing mostly in the fields of water resources and wastewater collection and treatment. He is married and is a proud father of Jack (age 12) and Natalie (age 10).
