Ryan Larsen will be presenting on the Missouri River Recovery Program and the development of the Missouri River ResSim model, which has been used to assess alternatives that involve operational changes for the Missouri River mainstem dams to prevent extinction of 3 endangered species.

Prior Education and Experience:

I graduated from South Dakota State University in 2008 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering. I continued my education at South Dakota State University and graduated in 2010 with a Master’s Degree in Civil Engineering. During college I worked as an undergraduate and graduate research assistant studying river hydraulics and bridge pier scour.

Time with NWO:

I started in May 2010 as an entry level hydraulic engineer for Hydrology Section. Other than the 5 years working in the Hydrology Section, I spent 4 months working for Missouri River Basin Water Management.
